January Favorites

January Favorites

To kick off our first official post of the new year, we bring you our January Favorites. Last month we took a much needed vacation to 3 magical places. Can you guess where that divine sunset is from? It's from the beautiful island of Bimini, in the Bahamas. I'll be posting some features about my trip, which was full of breathtaking scenery, great company and of course some serious shopping.

This month, I've been obsessed with my new Henri Bendel rivet studs, they go with absolutely everything. They're the perfect accesory and I love them. I got them on the last day of my trip, in Miami, while picking up a delicious perfume for my mother as a late Christmas gift. (I got her the Gardenia and Vanilla scent). Bendels is actually my favorite NY store, but you can find it in other cities too. They have exquisite candles, I strongly suggest picking up the Vanilla one, it is to die for and more.

One of my favorite parts of travel is picking up new scents to bring home with me. When I'm in Miami, I can't not go to Merrick Park. When I'm there I have to go to Anthropologie. One of the lines they carry is Lollia, who makes these really whimsical perfumes. I got the "Wish", which smells like honey and flowers. I love that it's not really that known, so when you walk into a room, people stop and ask me what I'm wearing, but I can't get enough of the blank stares on their faces when I say, it's Lollia. For those of you who want to know a little bit more about Lollia, it's actually a product line created by a designer called Margot Elena, who was first known for a line called Archive. The Lollia line is complete with hand lotions, soaps, and other goodies. You can try her other scents, Believe, Inspire, Imagine, In Love, Calm, Relax and Breathe.

If you're a follower of this blog, you probably know I like really unique things and that I'm a product junkie. Some of the products that rarely ever fail to show up on my favorites are lip related. This month I have been obsessed with two, which I've been dying to share with you. First, the Limited Edition Hibiscus Lip Balm by L'Occitane, which is on sale now if you're in Panama! This product is beyond amazing. It's super moisturizing. My mother, who is the ultimate lip balm connoisseur, gave it a thumbs up. It has the most delicious texture, that leaves your lips super soft and moisturized.

The second product is by far the most expensive lip gloss I own. It's also one of the most luxurious products I have ever tried. Chanel's Coco Rouge Shine has been out for a while, and I was actually hesitant to try it at first, but a friend on my trip recommended it and I have to say, "Baby, where have you been all my life?".  Honestly, it's THAT good. It glides on your lips and leaves them silky smooth. I got the Royallieu shade (#58).

Lastly, while at L'Occitane, I picked up their lavender soap, which is really nice. You can get them individually or in sets of three, which are nice to have in the shower, by the sink or in a guest bathroom. It smells really nice and lathers beautifully, like you'd expect from L'Occtitane.

I hope you had a great month of January! I'm going to post more details about my trip and all the shopping once I finish unpacking!
